About us
Our mission is to provide healing and hope to children and families. It's as simple as that. How we accomplish that mission is not so simple. It takes dedicated professionals, volunteers, donors, community partners, and lots of prayer to successfully minister to the thousands of persons Saint Francis serves in the United States and abroad. Deeply rooted within the Episcopal tradition, our ministry is dedicated to the protection, nurturing, and healing of children. Since 1945, we have advocated and worked for the needs of young people at risk. As a non-profit, faith-based organization, we place great stock in the value of both traditional and non-traditional families. We believe strong families make children's lives better. That's why we care for children through community-based means - where ever we see need. Annually, we provide a broad range of programs and services to more than 31,000 children and families in Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, Mississippi, and Central America. We help strengthen and heal families, while providing for the health and safety of children.

The Tony Barnes Gala (Dancin' in the Dirt Gala) in Omaha, Nebraska! 🐴👢✨ Tony is the director of IT for Saint Francis Ministries. Tony runs and operates Victory Riding Academy in Omaha. Bill, our CEO was the special guest speaker! VRA is an Equine Assisted Therapy Center, or more commonly known, a Therapeutic Riding Center. Therapeutic Riding is for people of any age or background who are in need of improving balance, coordination, posture, fine motor skills, articulation, cognitive skills, stress management, or to achieve psychological and/or physical improvements.

Behavioral Health Director Susan attended the Kansas Mental Health Advocacy Day conference in Topeka! 🧠💙 Besides occupying a Saint Francis Ministries booth, Susan took part in the annual event that included a “Mental Health for All” rally on the south steps of the State Capitol. “The governor's speech was inspiring,” said Susan. “She related how more monies are being allocated to help fund mental health needs. She also mentioned that Kansas has a low rating in the U.S. for mental health care. https://lnkd.in/gDmPr_6r
